Your visit is assessed as temporary
The most decisive element in a visitor visa is your ability to show that you plan to visit Australia only temporarily and will return home when your visa ends. Applications are often strengthened or weakened at exactly this point.
- Insufficient evidence that the visit is genuinely temporary weakens the application.
- Failing to document sufficient funds to cover your costs during your stay creates risk.
- Not demonstrating strong ties to your home country (work, family, property) weakens temporary intent.
- Incorrect or incomplete information can lead to refusal and a bar on future applications under Public Interest Criterion 4020.
We cannot guarantee any visa outcome. Our role is to present the temporary intent of your visit and your circumstances in a compliant and complete manner, so that an avoidable mistake does not weaken it.
Assess Your EligibilityThree streams, three purposes of visit
The Subclass 600 offers streams tailored to different purposes of visit. Before you apply, we assess your circumstances to determine the most suitable stream and realistic conditions of stay together.
Tourism and Visits
Holidays, sightseeing and family / friend visits
For people who want to explore Australia for tourism, or to visit family and friends. You can visit national parks, explore cities and attend social events.
Short-Term Business
Short-term business activities
For professionals travelling to Australia for short-term business activities. You can attend meetings, conduct negotiations, carry out market research or attend seminars. You cannot work for an Australian business or sell directly to the public.

How we manage your visitor visa, step by step
We assess your purpose of visit and circumstances to determine the most suitable stream.
We organise all required documents, including financial evidence, your travel plan and any invitation letter.
We prepare a consistent and compelling file that establishes the genuinely temporary nature of your visit.
We lodge your application through ImmiAccount, ensuring every detail is accurate and complete.
We monitor the process and respond promptly to any requests for further information from the Department of Home Affairs.
We convey your visa decision and brief you on the conditions you must comply with during your stay.
The core requirements to apply
A Subclass 600 application generally requires the following:
Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE): You must show that you will visit Australia only temporarily and return home when your visa ends.
Financial capacity: You are expected to document sufficient funds to cover accommodation, travel and living costs.
Health and character: You must meet certain health and character standards; a medical examination and police certificate may be required.
Health insurance: As healthcare in Australia can be expensive, holding adequate health insurance for your stay is recommended.
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee a visa. Periods of stay, conditions and requirements are set by the Department of Home Affairs and can change over time; we verify the current requirements for your situation.
A few important points to know
On the Business Visitor stream, you cannot work for an Australian business or sell directly to the public.
Periods of stay vary with the stream, your circumstances and the Department of Home Affairs decision.
Some visitor visas may carry a condition such as 'No Further Stay' (8503), which limits most applications from within Australia.
Choosing the right stream and clearly establishing temporary intent are the most critical stages of the process.
